Homewood College – Connected School
Admissions to Homewood College are through Brighton and Hove’s Special Educational Needs Panel.
The school has 50 places and all admissions are via the Head of School (on behalf of the governors). Our students have social, emotional and mental health as their first category of need, and frequently have complex needs. We consider each child on an individual basis. We are currently working on a service level agreement with the local authority and one of our governors is taking the lead on ensuring our processes of admission, transition and induction are the best they can be.

Please note we do not select learners as they are referred from the local authority. If you want to apply for a place you will need to contact the SEN Team at Brighton and Hove Council but informal enquiries are welcome via the Head of School, Kate Schofield.
The Connected Hub
Places at The Connected Hub (Year 11 PRU) are by referral only from Brighton and Hove schools, the virtual school and the LA.
Places are limited to 36 and all students take part in an informal meeting prior to a place being confirmed so that students know what to expect, and to see if The Hub is the right place for each individual.
Please talk to your child’s school for further information if they are currently in Year 10.
Referrals to the PRU are made through the local authority, or via the Behaviour and Attendance partnership. Secondary schools work together with the PRU to allocate places on a basis of need and to prevent permanent exclusions. We are currently working with the LA to develop our service level agreement.
The primary PRU has 8 places dedicated to students with EHCPs for children with SEMH as their primary need. Please see link below. If you want to apply for a place you will need to contact the SEN Team at Brighton and Hove Council but informal enquiries are welcome via the Head of School, Tim Self.
