Holiday Activities and Food Programme – Easter holidays
HAF is a DfE funded scheme that will offer some families who are eligible for free school meals free activities and food over the Easter holidays. The scheme is for children aged 4-16 who are in a full time school place.
HAF may be able to offer up to 4 sessions of 4 hours each for children during Easter holiday 2021 (with some providers offering shorter sessions). Due to tight timescales and some Covid 19 restrictions the Easter programme will be a pilot and have limited spaces. There will be a more developed HAF programme for 4 weeks during the summer and 1 week at Christmas 2021.
HAF are currently working with a variety of providers to develop a programme and as soon as possible we will share the booking information with you. Each place will need to be booked directly with the chosen provider (s) and only for up to 4, 4 hour sessions for each child.
Each HAF funded provider will offer:
- Healthy meals for all children attending
- Enriching activities
- Food education
- Support for parents and carers – information, signposting or referrals to other services
- A safe space for all children
