Primary News

Central Hub Primary recently visited the Sealife Centre in town, the students are learning about the oceans and pollution and how we as individual’s can help our seas by not dropping litter and recycling.

A very big thank you to Toby, a pupil at St Christopher’s School who has collected over 650 books from his friends and neighbours and donated them to the Primary PRU. This is a very generous and thoughtful act and will update the reading materials for our youngest pupils.

They have been placed in the Conference room at Lynchet Close.

November 2020 – Hawks class are currently studying World War 1 and had the pleasure of visiting Shoreham Fort. They also visited the beach and did some climbing at Hove Park. A fun day for all !

Hawks class had a go at some World War 2 cooking. On the menu was spam hash (!) and pear crumble. They were very pleased with the results and it all tasted delicious. 😊

The year six at CHB Primary recently enjoyed a trip to Herstmonceux, we explored the exhibits that were very interactive learning about space, the environment and had fun experimenting with the water and giant structures that played with weight and time.

This half term, Hawks class at Primary have begun learning about Ancient Egypt. We started by locating Egypt on the map and then coming up with our own questions about what we would like to find out.   Thomas said he’d like to know everything so it might be a long topic!
