We are delighted to welcome Mark Sheehan as lead teacher to our new middle school provision at the Connaught Road site. We will be opening a bespoke 12 place year 7 provision for students with EHCPS. Current year 6 pupils are thinking about uniform and rules, taking part in staff interviews and will also contribute to the curriculum layout. Mark has been busy resourcing the building interviewing staff, meeting new students ready for the start in September. We are confident this will be an excellent addition to Central Hub Brighton. 

On Friday 21st June Kim, Dell and Amanda completed the epic marathon walk from Bognor Regis to Brighton to raise money for a new minibus for the students at Central Hub Brighton. Joined by other staff and students along the way they raised enough money for a new minibus and hopefully to also fix the old one. This is an amazing achievement by the staff, demonstrating their determination to improve the lives of all the students who attend the provision, enhancing their experience both in the community and further afield. Well done to all of you.

On Friday the 21^st June the Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils and staff are setting off on a day trip to raise money for a new school minibus. Kim, Del and Mandy, who are TAs and a maths teacher, are going to walk from Bognor Pier to Brighton Pier!! 26 miles in one go!

The pupils and rest of the staff are meeting them at three points along the way in order to support the walkers. Pupils will join the walk for some of the way.

 Variety, the children’s charity, are helping us fundraise and will contribute to the final cost of a minibus. We have a £5000 target!!

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme provides FREE activities for school-aged children and young people in Reception to Year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals (FSM).

Summer HAF bookings go live on Wednesday 5 June, with over 11,000 HAF places available. Visit: https://www.eequ.org/brightonhovehaf to learn more and book.

Activities include everything from sports, performing arts, computing, the variety that playschemes offer, youth programmes, and so much more! Participants will also receive a meal.

Eligible participants are permitted to book up to 16 HAF sessions over Summer HAF 2024, with one session available per day.
